Que Pasa at the Latina’s No. 2

Hi there! As you know, I just started a “Que Pasa” series (click here for the first one) to give you a better look into my life and to keep you posted on what’s happening behind the scenes on the blog.

ONE:

We actually just got back from vacation – we spent 7 relaxing days in Panama City Beach, Florida. My kiddos loved the beach and couldn’t have had more fun. And this actually was one of the vacations we actually spent less money on! I will have a post coming up about the many ways we saved money and still had a great time!

While there, my littlest turned 2! I cannot believe she is already 2! Time flies and all I can think of is that she won’t be my baby for much longer! ?

My son is the hardest kid to photograph, by the way. I literally had to tell him to stop playing and look at the camera for mommy. And that’s what you see below.

And while we had so much fun and actually got some much needed rest (since I just finished the first phase of my kitchen update), I was happy to be back home and get back at it again cause I have so many things planned!

TWO:

I started a YouTube channel for my blog! YAY! Excited and nervous all at the same time. I don’t have anything up just yet so I will announce here once I have my first video up so you can check it out and tell me what you think, but if you are super eager, here is the link if you want to go ahead and subscribe. ?

I have several projects lined up that I will be posting tutorials on.

THREE:

I am also currently in the process of getting my house painted. By that I mean, I have submitted my color selection to my HOA, which they denied and I have appealed. UGH! It has been a little frustrating, but it is what it is. I know HOA’s have a purpose, but it’s not like I am painting my house purple or anything.

Here’s what my house currently looks like:

It’s a beautiful shade of orange and doodoo brown shutters.

Yes, that is the adjective I actually use for it. Can you tell how much I hate it?

It has great potential though despite it’s unattractive colors.I am trying to get as far away as possible from the orange and I would like to minimize the orange in the stone (that I cannot remove).

So, right now I am trying to go for the following look:

Aren’t they stunning? But my HOA came back and stated it was too “beachy” — WHAT THE?!

And they said that the green didn’t go with the orange stone, so as of right now we are at a stand still. I will keep you posted!

FOUR:

I would like to also announce that I have teamed up with some amazing Home Decor and DIY bloggers to bring you some amazing round up posts and the first one goes live tomorrow. We are answering some great design questions (some of which you may have had yourself) and each of us will take our turn answering them. Really excited about this one and I can’t wait to share it with you!

FIVE:

I’m getting a REAL logo for the blog! I have recently teamed up with a great artist and I love how everything is turning out. It’s going to be simple, yet fun, but still a little professional because I have a few more things I am working on and I need things to look amazing. I will be revealing the new logo very soon. Eeeek!

Okay, that’s it for now… I think…. I’m sure I forgot something.

I will see you back in your inbox tomorrow and if you have any thoughts on the house, I would love to hear what you have to say!

I’d love to connect with you on social media!
