I am so happy you are here. 

I am just a wife and mom, sharing my love for creating a beautiful and comfortable home on a budget one project at a time ~

My name is Yami and I am originally from Puerto Rico and we recently moved to Tennessee. My husband’s name is Nelson and we have 4 beautiful children together. I get to stay at home with them while I manage my website, film videos for my two YouTube channels and operate my online shop.

If you have a passion for home decor and love saving money by tackling projects yourself, then you’re in the right place. Together with my husband, The Latino Engineer, I share how I customize and decorate my home throughout the year. No project is too big or too small.

We just moved to our 19 acre homestead and will be documenting the entire build of our forever home from start to finish. We can’t wait to share the journey with you and hope to inspire you to take a hold of your spouse by the hand and together build the home you always hoped for.

Here we are Christmas 2021. The kids have grown up quite a bit. Our oldest is Natalia, our son is Achilles and our youngest is Aracely. 

Here is our last photo as a family of 5. This was fall of 2023.

We welcomed our latest addition on October 20, 2023. Her name is Thalia.
